MzPhit Bio- My Life Passion
While many artists struggle to establish their musical identity, laboriously trying on different musical styles like a piece of clothing, looking to find what fits; but there are others that emerge fully formed in full command of their craft, their identity and their music. MzPhit fits firmly in the latter category, from her style of rap to her style of clothing she is the next big thing. Her new album, Worth The Weight, is a captivating and moving debut that heralds the arrival of a gifted and significant new talent, one whose music feels familiar in the best possible way, while striking out on its own territory. A City girl who grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, MzPhit aka Savasha Feazell started writing poetry as a child, but didn’t take music seriously until she was in her late teens. MzPhit explains, “I started writing poems in my head that later on sounded to me like rap lyrics, and it took my interest in music to another level. I used to hear my cousin Smoke and his rap group recording in my aunt’s basement, I had to get on the mic; so I could let them hear the ideas I heard in my head. Then I started recording over old tapes to broaden my horizons and develop my sound even more.” Almost immediately, MzPhit formed a unique sound and style. She signed with her first local label “All Starz Records” where she began performing at local clubs and out of state shows, going through what she calls, “the typical post-high school lifestyle”. “I wasn’t interested in anything I was doing other than rapping, and I loved the craziness that was happening in my life.” MzPhit has been heavily influenced by other dope female mcees like Rah Digga, Da Brat, Remy Ma, Queen Latifah and several queens before her. As her name grew in and around the West Coast area, the pieces began to fall into place for MzPhit. Hitting the city with her hot singles “Ratchet” and “So Happy” she took the industry by surprise, creating a buzz that no one from Las Vegas had ever done before. Landing shows from state to state to her doing live interviews on several radio stations like FM 88.1 and lots more, this notoriety caused an huge effect she would later go on to be voted “best female rapper from 2013 to 2017 and best album 2015”. MzPhit begin playing bigger shows for an ever-increasing local and out of state audience. Recording continuously, MzPhit hooked up with several major local producers King Vay (Grammy award winning producer), Raphael RJ2 of Grammy award winning Beats How U Want Em & Hitman beats. The songs sparked major interest from several major people in the industry and in the end. MzPhit is now performing with major recording artist such as Trina, E40, Rah digga , Dizzy Wright, and more. “Right now I’m having fun, I’m able to make the music exactly the way I want to make it, and the people are enjoying it” she declare. MzPhit is currently on the road to success, continuously performing live and recording hot music; she has been crowned the queen of Las Vegas, due to her humble ambition, unique style and consistency.
